Kettins Sunday School
The children of the Sunday School meet together in the Church for the beginning of morning worship at 11.30 am. After the children’s address and hymn the children accompanied by teachers and /or helpers* for the day go over to the Church Hall where our main aim is to ‘FOSTER IN OUR CHILDREN THE LOVE OF JESUS AND THE BELIEFS OF OUR FAITH .’
Our programme is designed to cater for children of varying ages ranging from 4 upwards. From within our country parish children come from several schools which lets them meet new faces, make new friends as well as learning from each other.
We use Scripture Union material and may follow up lesson with songs, games, art work, craft work or role play whichever may be appropriate.
Our weekly offerings go to charities of the children’s choice.
The Sunday School enjoys and where possible takes part in special services such as Harvest Thanksgiving, Nativity and Easter.
Kettins and Meigle Sunday Schools join together for the annual prize giving, the annual summer picnic, the Presbytery ‘Big Picnic’ and a Christmas party or other event and also fund raising activities.
